What I ate on my trip home to New Orleans over Jazz Fest, '96

Summary:

	    Crawfish:
		Crawfish omlet
		Boiled crawfish (more than once! about 2.5 lb each time)
		Crawfish cakes
		Crawfish bread
		Crawfish sacks
		Crawfish pie
	    Oysters:
		Turkey/oyster gumbo
		Oysters on the 1/2 shell
		Oyster Gumbo
		Oyster po-boy
	    Shrimp:
		Shrimp spring rolls (not fried) 
		Shrimp wrapped sugar cane
		Shrimp Fetuccinni Alfredo
		Barbeque Shrimp served three different recipes
		Shrimp po-boy
	    Other unusual dishes:
		Aligator pie, 
		Fried softshell crab topped with bar-b-que shrimp, 
		Cochion de Lait po-boy (pork) 
		Esscargo
		Okra Gumbo,
		Seafood Gumbo, 
		Local New Orleanian goats cheese over special spiced bread, 
		Camillia burger, double, with swiss and chedar cheese, chille
	    Miscelaneous:
		Home made biscuits
		Stuffed mushrooms
		Cerial, with strawberries and bananna.
		Hot & sour soup, 
		Various chineese stir-frey dishes: Shrimp , Crab, Pork, 
			and vegitarian. 
		Onion rings
	Deserts:
		Bread pudding, 
		Spamonni (sp?) ice cream,

	Beverages: 
		Beers: Pelican, Abita Beer, Sam Adams, Fosters, Tsing-tao
		Myers rum & coke
		Coffee every morning and then some
		Chocolate ice milk, 
		Milk
		Orange juice
		LOTS of Manderine or Rosemint tea (no alcohol)

Wednesday - fly in - 

Dinner at home: boiled crawfish, turkey/oyster gumbo, spamonni (sp?) ice cream, Pelican brand beer

Thursday

Breakfast at Mothers: crawfish omlet, home made biscuits, coffee, milk, orange juice

At the Fest: LOTS of Manderine or Rosemint tea (no alcohol)

Dinner at Pasqual Minalli's: Oysters on the 1/2 shell, crawfish cakes, stuffed mushrooms, esscargo, fried softshell crab topped with bar-b-que shrimp, Myers rum & coke

Friday

Breakfast at home: cerial, coffee, milk, orange juice, strawberries and bananna.

At the Fest: Cochion de Lait po-boy (pork sandwitch), crawfish bread, crawfish sacks, crawfish pie, LOTS of Manderine or Rosement tea, some Fosters beer.

Dinner at Kim Toung: Shrimp spring rolls (not fried), hot & sour soup, Shrimp wrapped sugar cane, and various chineese stir-frey dishes: Shrimp , Crab, Pork, and vegitarian. Sing-tao beer.

Saturday

Breakfast at home: Local New Orleanian goats cheese over special spiced bread, with cerial, coffee, milk, strawberries...

Lunch: 2.5+ lbs fresh boiled crawfish tails

Dinner: At Doug's: Shrimp Fetuccinni Alfredo, beer

Sunday: 

Breakfast at home: cerial, coffee...

At the Jazz fest: Barbeque Shrimp, Aligator pie, Bread pudding, Okra Gumbo,
Seafood Gumbo, and LOTS of Manderine and Rosemint tea


Dinner at the Camillia Grille: Camillia burger, double burger with swiss and
chedar cheese, chille, chocolate ice milk, onion rings

Monday: 

Breakfast at home: coffee

Lunch at home: Oyster Gumbo


... and a little later, two po-boys - one Oyster, the other Shrimp...
